Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking a qualified nurse who will fill a full-time position for a Pharmacy Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Requirements: Pharmacy Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse - Responsible for dispensing medications and educating patients on the instructions, dosage and possible side effects of the medication. Responsible for assisting physicians within scope of LVN license plus other duties as assigned on job description.
Education/Experience: Must have a current License in the State of Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED and at least one (1) year experience in front office work, medical records or related field. Must be computer literate. Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred. Must be competent and confident in the medical environment. Tactful, courteous, and sensitive to patient needs. Able to follow instructions effectively and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements: Responsible for maintaining an efficient accounts payable system, for compiling, processing, and maintaining accounts payable records, including keeping vendors files current. Responsible to accurately review, reconcile, and match vendor invoices to approved purchases orders. Responsible for initiating and processing all payments to vendors, including contracts, leases, insurance payments and utilities.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent. College hours preferred, two plus years of experience in accounts payable. Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as excel and word. Excellent attention to detail, and ability to consistently meet all deadlines.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to join our WIC team. As a peer counselor, you will provide breastfeeding support, education, and encouragement to new and expectant mothers participating in the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping mothers succeed in their breastfeeding journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one breastfeeding support to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in-person, over the phone, or virtually.
Offer encouragement, practical advice, and emotional support based on personal breastfeeding experience and training.
Assist with breastfeeding education during prenatal and postpartum periods.
Refer mothers to lactation consultants or healthcare professionals for issues outside the peer counselor’s scope.
Document client interactions and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Attend regular training sessions, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
Distribute breastfeeding educational materials and supplies as needed.
Participate in health fairs and wellness events.
Qualifications:
Must have personal breastfeeding experience (successfully breastfed at least one child).
Enthusiastic and supportive of breastfeeding as the optimal feeding choice for infants.
Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse populations.
Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
Bilingual skills (preferred but not required).
High school diploma or GED.
Must complete breastfeeding peer counselor training.
