Billing/Collection Clerk

Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Billing/Collection Clerk.

Position Summary:  Posting Medicaid payments, appeals, employees payments and weekly billing process. Maintaining an efficient billing and collections system, works in conjunction with billing and collections staff.  Assist with keeping records, daily logs and money collected. 

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Experience in medical billing/collections procedures preferred, knowledgeable with private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and third-party claims a plus. Ability to operate computers and other office machines. Knowledgeable in Electronic Claims Processing. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain a positive work environment and exhibiting cooperative behavior and willing to learn. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Maintenance Supervisor/Safety Officer

Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor/Safety Officer.

Requirements:  Responsible to maintain and upkeep the facility, oversees the custodians and maintenance personnel. Monitors compliance with company safety rules, regulations, and any other applicable Federal, State or local employee safety law. The Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety. Under general direction, plans, develops and implements policies and procedures for the department; supervises department activities, and assures compliance.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Two plus years of maintenance and supervisory experience. A wide knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in maintenance, and the repair of heating, electrical, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing equipment in building and grounds will be considered a must. Must be knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and provide trainings to staff. Ability to commit to flexible schedules and prompt arrival for shifts. Some computer skills required.

Outreach Specialist

Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking a qualified individual who will fill a full-time Outreach Specialist position.

Requirements:  Collaborate with local community partners to identify and engage those individuals who might not otherwise seek assistance or come for healthcare and/or behavioral health services.  Serve as a health motivator offering patients in the program encouragement and support.  Influences patients in the program to make lifestyle changes. Engaging with identified individuals and ensuring that their basic needs are met while supporting them along their pathway.  Perform various clerical functions by ensuring the proper completion and handling of the required forms as well as tracking program participation and attendance.

Education and Experience: High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.  Ability to communicate in oral/writing form on information and ideas is essential to duties, maintaining good working relationship with staff and the community. Familiarity with medical terminology. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.  Must be computer literate.  Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
