Family Medicine Physician
Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Family Medicine Physician.
Requirements: Provide preventive and primary high-quality comprehensive medical care and services for patients in a community health setting. Staff physician must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health-oriented team for the healing and betterment of the center's patients.
Education/Experience: Licensed in the State of Texas, as well as current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions and current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare providers. Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Intervention Educator/ CMA
Vida Y Salud Health Systems, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking a qualified Certified Medical Assistant who will fill a full-time Intervention Educator/CMA position.
Requirements: Perform integrated education on clinic patients referred with chronic illness and diseases such as Substance Use Disorders (SUD), Medical Health, Diabetes, Hypertension, Cholesterol, etc. so patients can learn to manage their medical condition and to promote healthier lifestyles. Assist Physicians and do procedures indicated by physicians within scope for CMA. Will be performing Laboratory Procedures as needed.
Education/Experience: High School graduate or GED and a Certified Medical Assistant Certification. Minimum experience in patient education, SUD, mental health, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, health preventive measures, etc. Ability to communicate in oral/writing form information and ideas essential to duties, maintaining good working relationship with staff and medical personnel. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Must be computer literate. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.

REQUIREMENTS: - Maintaining an efficient billing and collections system, works in conjunction with billing and collections staff. Responsible for posting, keeping records, daily logs and money collected on a daily basis.
Education: - High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Experience in medical billing/collections procedures preferred. Knowledgeable with private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and third-party claims a plus. Ability to operate computers and other office machines. Knowledgeable in Electronic Claims Processing. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain a positive work environment and exhibit cooperative behavior and willing to learn. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
